Overstock.com made major waves in the crypto space – and the financial space in general – when it whole-heartedly embraced cryptocurrency last year. In December, it kicked off a security token sale for its new ERC20 token, called tZERO (TZRO), which was launched on top of the Ethereum (ETH) network.
Well, yesterday, we got our first in-depth look at just how this security token trading platform will look and feel – thanks to a couple of videos that the company released online.
A visual look at tZERO (TZRO) – Overstock.com’s upcoming crypto exchange
Just yesterday, the team behind the tZERO (TZRO) platform made an announcement dishing on the details of the upcoming security token exchange:
"We’re making history and we thank everyone involved in creating this new digital ledger platform. We also want to thank our customers; we’re doing this together." https://t.co/SYDrmMMWQ3
— tZERO (@tzeroblockchain) April 9, 2018
Along with the announcement came two pretty nice videos, which are now both up on the coin’s website. The first video just shows how users can trade security tokens on the seemingly easy-to-use app that works on multiple devices. The second video focuses on the company’s Digital Locate Receipts (DLR) technology – which will make the trading activities of its licensees more transparent and in-line with compliance.
This exchange is launching very soon
The whole point of the releasing of the two videos, other than announcing that their Simple Agreements for Equity (SAFE) sale will continue until May 14th, was to get public feedback on the prototype model before the full release. They want their customers and investors to see the full breadth of what they are building.
When is that release?
This platform is slated to go live sometime in May – yes, next month.
With so much regulatory uncertainty and massive grey areas when it comes to cryptocurrency trading these days, it’s pretty reassuring that a project like tZERO (TZRO) is being developed with a ton of features that cater to making it the most legal and transparent it can be.
